“JUST ADMIT YOUR SIN”
Merely by happenstance, I attended CCFL Boca for Good Friday service. My original intent was to be involved in a Bible Study that occasionally takes place there on Friday evenings. Much to my chagrin I hear the all too familiar voice of Bob Coy as I approach the building. Remember, this is the same man who first asked me not to street preach because ‘It isn’t our style’. Guess I should have worn my shirt tail out. This same Bob Coy also came to FAU campus, where my friends and I had been witnessing every Wednesday, but Bob came to give a presentation. At FAU Bob and CCFL handed out tracts that asked the question “Did Jesus Really Have Sex”; blasphemous to even suggest by way of question.
This same Bob Coy ended the Good Friday service with a call to “Just Admit Your Sin”. Just admit your sin? If you just admit your crime to the judge, the judge will just put you in prison. Catholics just admit their sin in confession to the priest and to their eucharistic christ. Just admitting your sin does not have a broken nor contrite heart condition before God. Bob said, “Just admit your sin and the Holy Spirit will come to you.” No, just admit your sin and that is all you have done, admit you guilt before God.
Jesus commanded us to repent, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.” Mark 1:15
and has called all men to repentance every where, Acts 17:30, 2 Peter 3:9.
We cannot allow the call to repentance to diminish. Keep the purity of Christ’s call to repentance and holiness, sharing the Gospel in Spirit and in Truth.

BTW I call it as I see it! to quote that famous person … “Stupid Is as stupid Does!”
What I see are Lots of scriptures, but no substance, theology or understanding of the Gospel or scriptures… Nor the Love of Christ for others! You’re so transparent, It’s No wonder why you can see it for yourself … You should Confess your sins, repent and do the right thing!
You’re really a just pseudo Christian .. a tare .. a weed that has infiltrated the church of Jesus ….. Only a wolf who has disguised himself in the cloak of Christianity to do the work of the enemy.
I’ve noticed on another blog … thats how i found your link .. that you like to take pot-shots at others .. yet when confronted with a challenge to substantiate your bogus claims with Facts… you always fall Flat! It’s easier to spew the lies and slander than it is to prove them isn’t it?
Do everyone a favor buddy .. come clean .. take off the mask and admit your hostility… Regardless who it may be toward … Bob Coy, Catholics … Jews a or anyone else whom you don’t approve . Confess .. repent and be forgiven by God and stop your hate mongering ways!! Maybe then there is still hope!
Whether in love or no, the fact remains,
Bob Coy did not preach repentance during his Good Friday message, but simply said, “All you have to do is admit your sin.”
I thank God for you and for your courage, as well as your faith in Him, as opposed to someone such as Bob Coy who professes to know Him, but obviously tends to forget that JESUS was not holed up in a church that’s beginning to resemble King Solomon’s temple! HE WAS, for the most part, IN THE STREETS, down in the gutter, among those who needed to hear, which is exactly where HE expects us to be, as surely as it is written, “Come, follow Me.” And if indeed we do so, where will we end up? Just where it is that you are my friend, in the same position Jesus was, maligned by the “pastorate” and eventually hung on a cross. You just go where He leads you, and don’t allow anyone, to include some hot shot who thinks he’s all that simply because of the masses who like to have their ears tickled with comfortable theology and easy believism! Remember the Scriptures, for as surely as it is written, “Broad is the road but narrow the gate”, and if the mass majority is going one way, it might be wise to consider another. Remember also that Satan’s greatest ploy is to imitate Christ. He doesn’t have horns and a pitch fork, but rather presents himself as an angel of light.
I could go on and on, but you already know all of this. Suffice it to say then that I left CCFL upon realizing that Pastor Bob was making a sheer mockery out of so much of the Word of God.
I close with my love and my hopes and prayers for you, as well as to invite you to join we few in our search for real truth in Yada Yahweh. You might just find a whole lot of truth, comfort and encouragment there. Regardless, I pray you always go where it is that He leads you, and I thank you for your more genuine service.
Hello Dakota,
We mst encourage one another. As I read your blog two scriptures come to mind…
Hebrews 13
“12Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate.
13Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach.
14For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come.”
Jesus did not build buildings, in fact He referred to His Body as The Temple.
2 Timothy 2:24-26
“24And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,
25In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;
26And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.”
Let us keep them in prayer.
Be blessed in the Lord.
I like how you explain this i really understand
your reaching out and i like it.
Whta is Yada Yahweh?
Is that a church?
Somehow i missed the point. Probably lost in translation
Anyway … nice blog to visit.
cheers, Boa!
Hello Boa,
Boa Tarde,
The point is that God will not excuse nor forgive our sin simply because we admit to Him that we have sinned.
I’ve much more to say on this, and will, very soon.
Worship HIM, really really worship HIM, obey HIM, really really obey HIM.
“He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.”
John 14:21
there are over 157 verses that mention salvation freely by His grace, without the addition of moral repentance or reform! Admitting sin is more saving, than repenting!
Luke 13
2 And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they suffered such things?
3 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
4 Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem?
5 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
Humm … Martin Luther. I’m sorry, One, but I take issue with Martin Luther. I mean, wasn’t he absolutely viscious toward the Jews and Judiasm? Didn’t he speak and write at great lengths about his hatred toward them, regardless of the fact that God chose them to bring forth His word, and keeps them to this very day, lest they would not be? And are they not yet His chosen? Who then was Luther to speak so ill of God’s chosen? Is it not written that God will bless those who bless Israel and curse those who curse Israel? If you aren’t aware of Luther’s malicious side, please, take a look. And O, this is more personal than a post. Post it if you will, though.
Anyway, perhaps I’m a bit biased, having not become a Lutheran until a teenager, and then by force — when well meaning relatives, and in spite of the fact that I had walked with Christ throughout my life, insisted that I be baptised and soon thereafter “confirmed”, post haste, lest I die and burn in hell forever. The doctrines of the Lutheran church wreaked havoc with a lifelong faith that had sustained me through more than most could ever imagine! Surely, the doctrines had me convinced that prior to the baptism and confirmation, I had but been deceiving myself in believing that it was enough for Christ that I simply believe and with all of my heart, mind and soul, and in so believing do my utmost, indeed, for His highest. Needless to say, as soon as I could choose to do so, I left the Lutheran church, but not before several more years passed and much damage had been done that took many years to repair — to find myself once again “in” Christ, walking with Him, communing with Him, while setting aside doctrine and tradition that can keep us all at arms length away. I apologize most sincerely should I have offended you in this, but felt I had to say something.
Also, I noticed that you removed my post regarding repentance. Did I violate some rule in that I cut and pasted? My apologies if so. Repentance is but one of the many issues Calvary seems to avoid presenting to the congregation. The serious of sin, is another, as is obediance — even why it is that we obey, above and beyond our command to do so, and which is simply because we LOVE HIM we strive to obey Him. Through our repentance and obedience we prove our love for Him, as surely as He said Himself.
Many blessings to you and yours,
Simply, Dakota
Yes, I do not hold to any man, but only the Man Christ Jesus. M.Luther is not worthy of praise.
I agree, “through our repentance and obedience’ obedience in having Love for God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength and loving our neighbor as ourself, that in this we will give diligence to make our calling and election sure: for if we do these things, we shall never fall. 2 Peter 1:10-11.
sorry Dakota, yes the cut and paste was a bit lengthy.
So Bob told you he didn’t like street preaching and now you spend your time pouring over his sermons looking for anything not worded the way you think it should be, then publicly ridiculing a brother in Christ? Just so ya know, everyone can see you are simply spiritually immature and bitter. We’ll pray for you.
Hi Jimmy,
Not sure what you mean by ‘pouring over’. Jesus poured His blood out while on the cross to free us from sin.
Jesus began to preach, “Repent, repent the Kingdom of God is at Hand.”
The audacity to suggest that the LIVING SON OF GOD, could have had an adulterous relationship is blasphemy.
I love your site!
