Billy Graham Training Center, Is that Bob Coy, Again?
So What’s On at the Billy Graham Training Center? The Cove is a pretty fancy looking hotel to be holding a seminar for Christ’s followers. Didn’t Jesus say the foxes have holes, man the Cove is some more hole, it even has a camp for the kiddies. I’d say an almost high-fa-Looting hole for a very big Fox. But then that would mean it is all about the money wouldn’t it.
Billy Graham a Fox? Worse, would you believe a heretic. Oh wait, only call one an heretic after the 1st and 2nd admonition. What about after the 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th, …70th x 7. Is Billy a bigot too? Chock one up for Franklin & Osteen.
So why is Bob Coy teaching again at the Cove? Does Bob Coy agree with Billy Graham’s heresies for the past 50 years or is Bob simply ignorant of such. I wrote Bob Coy and other Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale Pastors a letter and email with the same evidence contained herein. The response is that Bob is teaching at the Cove again.
Bob sure does appreciate the Rolling Stones. Bob’s sermon at the Cove is titled “I Can’t Get No Satisfaction (Ecclesiastes)”. We’ve already heard this one, its where Bob wants to slap Solomon, God’s anointed. Guess Billy likes a good laugh, Pastor Bob sure is funny. And apparently Bob endorses Billy Graham’s heresy as evidenced by the larger than life effigy of Billy in the East hall of CCFL and his participation at the Cove.
Should church leadership and Pastors separate themselves from heretics? Should Christians, Pastors, Deacons and Church leaders speak out against such and expose them as heretics? What does the Bible say?

In fact the Bible states, “That if you do not repent, you will all likewise perish.” Jesus is the Way, Truth and the Only Life that will yield eternal Life, faith in Him alone.

Talk about someone pontificating about something about which they know nothing. You obviously know nothing about Bob Coy or Billy Graham…and seen to be cueless about matters of the Holy Spirit. Being a christian is not about religion, but a relationship with the God of the universe. Your attitude is so un-Christ-like.
So in other words; no matter what they say, preach or teach everything goes ! correct ? so if they tell you that jesus was an electrician instead of a carpenter; you’ll say ” amen ” remember this ? ” Thus said the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusts in man, and makes flesh his arm, and whose heart departs from the LORD “in other words; don’t waste your time listening to false teachings, there is no time for that; the writings of John in revelations are about to unfold !
I’m surprised a little by the anger in many of these responses. If you have a problem with someone’s teaching, go to them and point them out, then take another with you. It can be very disheartening to find out that the people we looked to for leadership (spiritual int this case) aren’t as perfect as they might seem at first. But when we are let down by them, is it not possibly the devil’s attempt to discourage us in our walk. Is it not possible to absorb the good and reject what is bad?
I like when people have evidence for what they are advocating. But given that we are all susceptible to misinterpreting, isn’t there a chance that we are misunderstanding or missing vital context information? I mean unless we’ve got Billy’s or Bob’s transcripts and notes, chances are we are going to pull stuff out of context. As for Hitler & Mother Theresa… It comes to the question of salvation. I was recently asked: Who can be baptized? Do they have to be saved? How do you know if they are saved? My answers were: anyone; yes; you can’t always tell.
And what I realized was that it is not for men to decide who is saved and who isn’t. You don’t always have evidence. And besides that you can have false evidence.
So I ask: Do people who are saved still sin? (Yes.) Is that not the wrong type of proof/fruits? We can not know where anyone will go other than ourselves. And we cannot prove that to anyone till we get there.
Let’s all remember that Jesus is the only way, and let Bob and Billy be humans. Don’t get stuck on their shortcomings, and let go of their capes. Read the Bible and find the truth.
Oh and regarding the “Can’t get no satisfaction” comments, I don’t think anyone went home or the store and looked through their music collection for that album after hearing that sermon. However it got the attention of both Christians and non-Christians because it was a reference to pop culture. It was a hook.
You guys are awesome in your desire for truth. But you won’t find it by blogging or reading blogs.
I currently attend CCFL. When looking for a church in the area, we visited a number of churches, around 5-6, before deciding on CCFL. I am a Biblicaly grounded, doctrinaly sound Christian (grew up independent Baptist). What matters most to me is the preaching of God’s word with out respect for who may be in atendance. The pastors of the other churches I visited seemed to skirt “difficult” issues and instead gave feel-good sermons. Bob Coy has, on more than one occasion, preached sermons that would be offensive to many. Two such sermons recently were regarding the husband’s and wife’s proper role in the family. Submissiveness on the wife’s part and being the head of the house on the husband’s. These are just two examples. He has also addressed other hot button topics like homosexuality, homosexual “marriage”, abortion, electing godly leaders, etc. If Pastor Coy were not preaching messages to convict and bring to repentance those in attendance, I would leave the church immediately and not return. I have done so on more than one occassion, turning to my wife and telling her that we will not be returning to those churches. Two of those were in the Nashville area, Grace Chapel and Christ Church. A couple down in Ft Lauderdale as well, Flamingo Road Church and Calvary Chapel Sawgrass. I consistently analyze Pastor Coy’s messages to be sure that they are in line with what the Bible says and am always on guard to ensure that me and my family are receiving Godly instruction. I personally feel that whoever is writing this blog has a bone to pick with Bob Coy (for whatever reason) and feel that no matter what is presented to them will not change their opinion of him. Go the Lord and ask Him to search your heart to find your true motivations for what you write.
I agree with you about being biblicaly grounded and by those grounds i believe that the blogger is basing his post; why dont you listen to Billy Graham speaking about salvation and tell us all how biblicaly grounded are those estatements ! please we’d love to hear from you and your interpretation to scripture ! maybe i missed something when i heard him speak on video on Larry King live that jesus is not the only way to the father ! maybe it was a conspiracy against such a holy man from god !

Just a little curious…what great bad things has Billy Gram done? My husband is a Christian because of one of his crusades. I think that is awesome.
Mr. Graham is human and entitled to the same mistakes that every human has been for the last…well since the beginning of time. Shall we remember the great king David, man after God’s own heart, Murderer, Adulterer, Lustful, dishonest, thief, and the list goes on.
I think that these men are not perfect, by any stretch of the imagination, but they are making a real impact on real people, by changing real lives. Which is way more then I can say for the 99% of people who criticize them, put their heads up on chopping blokes because they don’t live in caves, where sack cloth, and eat nothing but unleavened bread. Seriously. Thousands of people lead to Christ…what a tragedy, NOT.

Is it not the Lord who knows the hearts of all people? I tell you the truth, the majority of real Christians today came from terrible backgrounds. So who are you to say “That is no man of God” when they are in a state of weakness? Do you know when the Lord will draw them near? In this way, there are certainly Muslims, Jews, and many other people who will be called “Children of God.” for they will come one day. Billy Graham is surely a man of God, for he has much fruit. You can judge a tree by its fruit. So tell me you hypocrites, where is your fruit? hi im new but old in billy graham stuff,infact he was my idol during my teen years, i loved to watch him. i dont know what all the negativity is about. but i know hes old and tired and warned out and has something desease of some kind i cant remember. but i had written to them and they wrote back to tell me what it is. last year but i could not tell you what it is. but write to them they will for sure. hes in the public eye so attacked is he especially hes been amazing ll these years plus. so satan taking a few last shots at him why not. but what does tht change if he denied Jesus and all the word of God.. who were you following all these years? people crap happens! let him go!

Why slam The Cove, when typical rock concerts cost, and garner, many millions compared to the miniscule fraction expended by Christian orgs. Till the day lawyers feel ‘Blog Law’ is lucrative enough (why don’t you pick on them, instead of Christians you deem unyoked), broad brushstrokes and slams by you and others will cease because years of job experience in event coordination (or whatever your complaint de jour is) or research hours for statical accuracy aren’t as easy as free-speak.
